OLYMPIC bronze medallist Ed Ling officially opened the Christmas Fayre in aid of St Giles Church at Bradford-on-Tone on Saturday.

The Nynehead shooting star won his medal in the men’s trap event at the Rio Olympics in August.

There was a splendid turnout for the annual fair and the event raised a record £1,300 for church funds.

“It was a marvellous day and we would like to thank everyone who supported us,” said one of the organisers Stephanie Walden.
