SSFA, the Armed forces charity, will benefit from an open garden event near Wiveliscombe on Bank Holiday Monday (May 27).
Burges Meadow at Maundown is a two-acre hillside garden with more than 100 varieties of interesting and unusual trees, shrubs and borders.
It also has a stream, waterfalls and ponds, and a large glasshouse. Cream teas and a plant stall will be on offer at the gardens, two miles from Wiveliscombe through Langley Marsh.
The open garden is from 2-6pm – entry is £4, children free. Dogs are not allowed – partial wheelchair access.
