A large gathering of artists, their friends, families and tutors enjoyed an evening in the Orangery at Nynehead Court at the opening of the Nynehead Painters exhibition.

Stable Arts arts co-ordinator Mary Kembery welcomed Wellington Mayor and Mayoress Wellington Gary and Bee James to the event, as well as Nynehead Care director Alyson Martin.

The Nynehead Painters are leisure artists who attend three separate art classes held in the Orangery led by artists Clare DuVergier, Jane Embleton and Virginia Chester.

The exhibition of more than 35 images features an interesting and diverse range of pieces in oils, watercolours and acrylics, and brings together artwork from the members of each group, .

Nynehead Painters exhibition, curated by Stable Arts, is in the Orangery and open to the public until Wednesday, June 27, 10am-4pm (closed on Tuesdays).
