PUPILS in Year 5 at Rockwell Green Primary School visited Exeter Cathedral and Mosque as part of their religious education studies on different faiths and religious buildings.

At the cathedral, Hannah, the education officer, gave them a guided tour and talked the children through different features of the cathedral, such as the alter and pulpit.

The children were able to handle artefacts that reminded them about important aspects of the Christian faith.

The pupils then went to Exeter Mosque where they were greeted by Muhammad and two Imans, who talked them through the important aspects of the Islamic faith.

The children were lucky enough to witness afternoon prayers in the mosque and many said it was the best school trip they had been on, as it was totally different and new.
