PUBLIC notices cover a range of applications, ranging from licensing applications for liqueur or entertainment to planning applications, roadworks and other works.
Their intention is to inform communities of the latest plans in their area and such applications are considered for approval or refusal by local authorities.
Here are some of the latest applications submitted to Somerset Council in Wellington.
• Somerset Council propose an order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along Halfyard Lane, east of the junction with Cats Ash Road. Work is expected to commence on September 1 and last until September 5.
• Adam Howe Haulage Ltd, of Uffculme, is applying for a licence to use Gamlins Farm Ltd, Wellington, as an operating centre for two goods vehicles and two trailers.
• M Way & Son Transport Ltd of Pathfields Business Park is applying for a licence to use Shrubbery Cottage, Burlescombe, as an operating centre for two goods vehicles and two trailers.
• Listed building consent application for various external and internal repairs and refurbishments at Rumwell Hall, Wellington Road, Rumwell.
• Reinstatement of former tarmac tennis court at Ford Farm in Wiveliscombe.
• DM Contractors (Wellington) Ltd, of Poole Industrial Estate, Wellington, has applied for a goods vehicle operator’s licence to operate as a centre for six goods vehicles and six trailers, and anybody who believes their use of the land will be affected has 21 days in which to make written representations to the Traffic Commissioners in Leeds while also copying to the applicant.
• The erection of a hot food takeaway pod at Wellington PR Service Station, Chelston, Wellington, has conditional approval.
• The erection of a single storey extension to the rear of 20 Alexandra Road, Wellington, has conditional approval.
• The display of one non illuminated fascia sign and one non illuminated projecting sign at 7 Fore Street, Wellington, as amended by agents email of July 30 and Dr No. Proposing signage/elevation and Dr No. Projecting signage has conditional approval.
• Application to carry out management works to one sycamore tree, one Thuja, two cypress trees and one sweet chestnut included in Taunton Deane Borough (Wellington No.2) Tree Preservation Order 1993 on land to the north of Payton Road, Westford (includes the removal of two unprotected elder trees).
• Conversion of attached two storey barn into ancillary accommodation at Dipford Farm, Dipford Road, Trull.
• Application for the installation of a flush-mounted EV charging cable channel to the front of 11 The Avenue, Taunton.
