PUPILS at Beech Grove Primary School in Wellington could be enjoying an outdoor learning area by the start of the new school year next autumn.
The school needs to raise a total of £4,000 to provide a new sand play area and dry river bed, and refurbish its existing playhouse.
Now Bloor Homes, whose Longforth Farm development is less than a mile from the school, has contributed £1,000 towards the cost of the first phase of the project.
The school’s business manager, Deborah McKie, said: “The new play area will provide our early years pupils with a fun, safe and exciting outdoor environment in which to learn and explore.
