TWO men have visited the First World War grave of a relative on the same day as he died 100 years before.

Nick Abrams, 73, who lives near Langford Budville, visited the grave of his uncle Arthur Powney – a member of the Royal Flying Corps – in Belgium with his son Alex, 40.

They visited the airfield where Arthur had taken off in his plane and found the spot where it landed after he was shot down on September 15, 1917.

They also went to the cemetery where he was buried and visited a museum where found a photo of Arthur.
