POLICE who arrested a man in Taunton this week want to hear from West Somerset residents who have had tools stolen recently.
Officers recovered a number of tools from a vehicle being driven by the man when he was arrested at 5 am on Tuesday (May 13).
The driver was stopped in Blackbrook Park Avenue and during a search of the vehicle police found 11 Makita tools, which they believe may have been stolen in either the west or north of Somerset.
The driver, aged in his 30s, was arrested on suspicion of theft and going equipped for theft.
He has since been released on police bail while an investigation continues.
An Avon and Somerset Constabulary spokesperson said: “Officers are now working to locate the owners of the tools.
“If you think any of the items in the photograph might be yours or have any other information that could help our investigation, please call 101 using the reference number 5225133180.”
