POLICE will be hiring the Pop-Up Shop in Wellington town centre next month.

Members of Wellington Town Council were told at their latest meeting that the police will be taking over the Pop-Up Shop in Fore Street from April 13-19.

Police will use the opportunity to focus on different subjects such as crime reduction, volunteering and drug awareness on different days.

“We hope to have some of our special constables helping out and also to have the Mini Police join us during the week,” said a police spokesman.
