Police have had a car removed from Cades Farm in Wellington after residents reported it was untaxed.

The Wellington Neighbourhood Policing team posted a picture on its Facebook page of the white Audi on the back of a truck.

A statement said: “Local residents have reported an untaxed car in Cades Farm. Officers have now had it removed freeing up space and getting an illegal car off the road.”

One Facebook user said: “It’s been there for months.”

Another added that two other cars had been reported in Court Drive.

A spokesperson said the team was aware of those vehicles and they were taxed, but they would be checked again.
