POLICE have issued an appeal for information or witnesses to the breaking of the main front window of Cafe Licious in South Street, Wellington.

Police say: "We received a call shortly after 8am on Thursday (February 2) reporting a café on South Street had its window smashed with a brick overnight.

"Anyone who witnessed the incident, or who saw anything suspicious, is asked to phone 101 and provide the call handler with the reference 5223025823."

Cafe Licious has been a popular eating venue in the town for many years.
