PRINCE Edward was in Langford Budville this afternoon.

He performed the official opening of the new village hall, which has been named Langford Budville Jubilee Hall.

Villagers have been trying to get a village hall for more than 30 years, but lack of funds hampered their progress.

The chairman of the Langford Budville Village Hall trustees, Keith Moore, said: "This is a bit of a coup for us."

The prince had been in Taunton earlier to officially open the Museum of Somerset.
