PUBLIC notices cover a range of applications, from licensing for liqueur or entertainment to planning applications, roadworks and other works.
Their intention is to inform communities of the latest plans in their area and such applications are considered for approval or refusal by local authorities.
Here are some of the latest applications submitted to Somerset Council in Wellington:
Speedy Asset apply to change licence
Speedy Asset Services Ltd trading is applying to the council to change an existing licence to keep an extra three goods vehicles and one trailer at its operating centre at Speedy Asset Services Ltd, Prolift House, Westpark, Chelston, Wellington TA21 9AD.
Newlands Farm apply to change operating licence
K J Reynolds (Somerset) Ltd of Eames Farm, Coxhill, North Newton, TA7 0BT is applying to change an existing licence to add an operating centre to keep six goods vehicles and ten trailers at Newlands Farm, Greenham, Wellington, TA21 0LZ.
Wellington Waste to become operating centre
EMS Waste Services Ltd of Hillbarton Business Park, Clyst St Mary, Exeter, Devon EX5 1DR is applying for a licence to use Wellington Waste, Chelston Business Park, Summerfield Avenue, Wellington TA21 9JF as an operating centre for 20 goods vehicles and no trailers.
They are also applying for a licence to use Artillery Road, Lufton Trading Estate, Lufton, Yeovil BA22 8RP as an operating centre for 10 goods vehicles and two trailers.
Here are some of the latest applications submitted to Somerset Council for the West Somerset and Exmoor areas:
Road closure for drainage works
The road from Huntsham Bridge to Perrotts Huntsham will be closed from December 18 for a maximum of 18 months.
The temporary restriction is considered necessary to enable drainage works by Devon Highways.
No person or vehicle will be permitted to proceed or wait on the sections of affected road.
The notice was provided by Devon County Council. The temporary prohibition however is anticipated to finish on December 23.
Temporary road closure in Oakford
The road from Esworthy Cross to Formoor, Oakford will be closed from December 11 for a maximum of 18 months.
The temporary restriction is considered necessary to enable drainage works by Devon Highways.
No person or vehicle will be permitted to proceed or wait on the sections of affected road.
The notice was provided by Devon County Council. The temporary prohibition is anticipated to finish on December 17.
