A five-day project to improve drainage at Wellington Park is under way.
Somerset West and Taunton Council is now carrying out the works which involves relining sections of the foul drains between Wellington Park Lodge and the septic tank in Wellington Recreation Field.
The council is warning that the public toilets in the park will close intermittently during this time.
A spokesperson said: "Additional work to replace the septic tank with a treatment plant will take place between 6 and 10 February. The public toilets will also close for brief periods during this time."

Children's television star to perform at Wellington dementia charity dance-a-thonWellington Park is a grade II listed formal Edwardian park covering 1.8 hectares and was restored in 2000 thanks to Heritage Lottery Funding.
Many of the original design features have been kept. The war memorial and toilet block were added later. The park has a ha-ha - a sunken fence design feature commonly used as a boundary for grazing livestock - bandstand, ornamental pond and floral bedding displays.
Throughout the summer the park is used for an events programme organised by the Friends of Wellington Park, popular with local people and visitors.
