‘FANTASTIC Mr Fox, the BFG, Matilda and many other characters came to Rockwell Green Primary School to celebrate 100 years since the birth of children’s author Roald Dahl.
To mark the occasion, children and staff wore a hint – or more – of Roald Dahl and spent the day taking part in fun activities relating to his stories. These included inventing new sweets, creating characters, writing stories and learning to draw in the style of Quentin Blake.
The afternoon was spent watching the Puffin ‘Virtually Live’ Roald Dahl Day broadcast, which was aired across the country.
The school says it was a fantastic way to commemorate the much-loved author. They were thrilled with how many of the pupils could talk about their favourite characters, books and poems.
