CHILDREN at Beech Grove Primary School in Wellington were challenged to design and construct an egg mobile during the school holidays as a family activity.

The vehicle, requiring wheels to safely transport an egg, was judged in three categories – construction kit – for example, Meccano or Lego; junk modelling and most beautiful creation.

Friends of Beech Grove were the judges and provided the mouth-watering prizes.
