Brewery seeks buyer

QUANTOCK Brewery, based in Bishops Lydeard, has announced it has gone into administration.

The announcement came as the brewery faced a ‘very difficult trading period’.

Quantock Brewery made the following announcement last Thursday: “It is with deep regret that following a very difficult trading period we must announce that Quantock Brewery Ltd has gone into administration. We will continue trading as normal while a buyer who can take the business forward is found.

“Massive thanks to all our customers, suppliers, friends and family for their continued support and to our brew crew for their loyalty and hard work. Support your local brewery.”

The family-run business was set up in 2007 and has produced multi award-winning real ales.
