NYNEHEAD Court and Nynehead village hall are combining their efforts next month to celebrate the Queen’s 90th Birthday.

Wellington to lose its former WH Smith store just five months after takeoverThe event on Saturday, June 11, will begin at 2pm at Nynehead Court, where visitors will be entertained by the John Walker Band and Wellington Majorettes. Games, stalls, strawberries and cream and a raffle will also be available. At 4pm a shuttle bus service will begin to transport visitors to the village hall, where teas will be served and sketches will be performed to round off the day.
Nynehead Court manager Angela Watkins said: “Nynehead Court is a part of the local community and we are delighted to be working with the village hall on this special event to mark Her Majesty the Queen’s 90th Birthday. Many of our residents remember her younger years and Coronation and are looking forward to celebrating her birthday.”
