THE Catherine Wheel, whose noticeboard promised a ‘right Royal knees up’, was the place to be in Hemyock for those who wanted to celebrate the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
Licensee Geoff Taylor, dressed in red, white and blue, welcomed young and old as the celebrations unfolded and a cake competition was judged.
Bunting decorated the pub garden where sandwiches and cake were enjoyed throughout the afternoon in glorious sunshine.
The Union flag flew from St Mary’s Church towers and a small number of homes and businesses were decorated with bunting.
