SHOPKEEPERS in South Street, Wellington, have complained about the loss of trade following the road’s closure to traffic earlier this week.

The street (above) closed on Monday for road repairs and one shopkeeper said trade had been ‘affected considerably’.

Another said it would have been ‘nice if they had been informed of the road closure’ and for how long.

All shopkeepers said they had been affected.
