ROCKETS Pre-School at Rockwell Green has celebrated its tenth birthday.

The pre-school came into being when the old community pre-school moved to become part of Rockwell Green Primary School.

Pre-school parents, former staff, former school headteacher Morwenna Dunstan and one-time manager Rachel O’ Malley attended the party (above).

Mayor of Wellington Cllr Gary James and county and Wellington town councillor Andrew Govier also went along.

New primary school headteacher Michael Berrisford introduced himself and welcomed everyone.

Pre-school manager Sandra Mackie, who has been at the pre-school since it started, talked about its achievements over the past ten years.

Rockets moved from an existing classroom into a purpose-built unit in the primary school grounds in June 2017. This gave it much more space and enabled it to care for more children.
