CHILDREN, parents and staff at Rockets pre school, Rockwell Green, celebrated the first anniversary of the preschool's opening this week.
They were joined by, back right, Wellington town mayor Peter Critchard; back middle, Cllr Andrew Govier; and, in shirt and tie, local MP Jeremy Browne, as they donned birthday hats and tucked into a first birthday cake.
The purpose-built facility is part of Rockwell Green Primary School's integrated Foundation Stage Unit and provides an enhanced service for local children from the age of two until they start school.
The facility is OFSTED registered for up to 24 places and parents are able to choose a combination of times for the unit to suit their own circumstances.
Mr Browne, who opened the pre-school with Cllr Govier last year, said: "It was great to visit again for the first anniversary celebrations.
"The Rockets pre-school has a vibrant atmosphere and there is a high demand for places."
