Rotarians have adopted a disused allotment in support of Wellbeing efforts in Wellington.

The site at Rockwell Green is being cleared ready for use by individuals coping with mild dementia, reminiscence or loneliness, and vulnerability.

Once the allotment is ready Rotarians will offer support to townspeople who can benefit from the companionship offered by practical gardening and growing activities.

The allotment will be open regularly and can be used by people recommended by their local Wellbeing practitioner or Wellington-based dementia charity Reminiscence Learning.

Work is going well but a secure shed is needed on the site and good quality gardening tools are required.

Anyone who can help, with sponsorship or practical help, is asked to call Brian on 07770 365815.
