KAMYKO, of High Street, Wellington, has won the Business of the Year award run by the WWN for the third year running.

The hairdressing salon received 124 nominations and was a clear-cut winner.

Voters had to provide a brief reason why they nominated Kamyko.

One voter said: “They are the most friendly, funny and caring people who will always offer help where needed.

“Their window displays brighten up Wellington and, no doubt, are appreciated by people in traffic jams outside their shop.

“After only five years in Wellington they held a fantastic celebration party in order to thank their clients. Everyone had a gift.

“The compassion and patience shown to elderly clients is a joy to see. They have been known to drive such customers home when family have been delayed.”
