TAUNTON Thespians look to warm up chilly autumn evenings with Ray Cooney and John Chapman’s farce Not Now Darling at the Brewhouse.
Set in the elegant West End fur salon of Bodley, Bodley and Crouch, this saucy tale of mistresses and minks follows the misadventures of insatiable womaniser Gilbert Bodley, boss of the exclusive salon.
Suspicious wives, mistaken identities and scantily clad girls hidden in closets are all part of the hilarious and chaotic chain of events as the whole plan goes out the window, along with numerous items of women’s clothing!
The question is: Will Gilbert end up with egg on his face or with his mistress? All is revealed at the end of the play.
Not Now Darling runs from November 8-12 at 7.30pm nightly with a Saturday matinée at 2.30pm. Full price tickets are £14 Wednesday-Friday, £10 Tuesday and Saturday matinée. Tickets for students, children and individuals on benefits are £5 all performances. They are available from the Brewhouse on 01823 283244, Taunton Visitor Centre on 01823 340470 and online.
