ROCKWELL Green Primary School is planning to remember former head teacher the Rev George Todd, who died recently aged 95.

The school is planting a tree in its grounds on Tuesday, December 13, in his memory and is inviting anyone who was a pupil in Mr Todd’s time at the school to attend along with his family.

Mr Todd began teaching at Rockwell Green in 1962, becoming head teacher some time after that, and remained there until he retired in 1984.

Anyone who would like to attend the tree planting is asked to phone the school office on 01823 662317, so the school has an idea of numbers. The event gets under way at 10.45am.
