TEENAGER Lucy Theobald of Immenstadt Drive, Wellington, is planning to go on a conservation trip to South Africa next year and is working hard to raise the £2,000 to finance it.

Wellington among three fire crews working to free horse trapped in farm slurry pitLucy, who is 14 and a pupil at Castle School, Taunton, will be working with rangers in nature parks and game reserves to combat poachers, doing community work at a primary school as well as going on safaris and bush walks.
The three-week trip is from July to August 2017 and Lucy is looking for sponsors. So far she has raised about £500 from coffee mornings, jumble sales, cake sales, driveway sales, car washing, babysitting and part-time jobs.
She is organising an Easter craft fair at Comeytrowe Community Hall, Taunton, on Saturday, March 19.
