THIS year’s Easter Eggstravaganza was held at Rockwell Green Primary School and was once again hosted by the Wellington Community One Team.

Wellington among three fire crews working to free horse trapped in farm slurry pitMore than 160 people enjoyed arts and crafts activities, Easter egg hunt, outdoor games and barbecue once the rain stopped and the sun came out. Even the Easter Bunny put in an appearance and entertained the children.
Once again families in Wellington enjoyed a low-cost, fun-for-all-ages community event to help entertain youngsters during the school holidays.
St John Ambulance, Wellington YMCA, Guiding and Better were among the local organisations which supported the Easter Eggstravaganza.
Mayor of Wellington Gary James attended and once again said how good it was to see so many families enjoying a local community event.
The Easter Eggstravaganza was hosted, funded and staffed by a range of frontline agencies including the getset service, Taunton Deane Borough Council, Wellington Town Council, Liverty – formerly Knightstone – and Churches Together. Churches Together supplied complimentary refreshments.
