Letters from our readers across Wellington and beyondNot only have they excelled socially, emotionally, artistically and creatively, but they have also out-performed almost all national averages set by the government, for their statutory, end of Key Stage Two assessments.
The results achieved by Wellesley Park Primary are as follows, in comparison to national average: Writing (teacher assessed) Wellesley Park 75 per cent (nationally 78 per cent); Maths 85 per cent (79 per cent); Reading 81 per cent (73 per cent); Grammar, punctuation and spelling 83 per cent (78 per cent); Reading, writing and maths (combined) 71 per cent (65 per cent).
Headteacher Carly Wilkins said: “The children are absolutely thrilled with such a positive outcome; proving yet again that hard work and determination, partnered with positive attitudes and a realistic approach to these assessments, have clearly been worthwhile.
“These results are a whole school effort however, and the dedication and professionalism of my staff has been key to achieving the very best from our pupils.”
