BLACKDOWN Sea Angling Club, based in Wellington, is running three open competitions this autumn and winter.

The first is on Sunday, October 7, signing on at the Hobby Horse Hotel in Minehead from 2pm with the competition from 4-8pm. First prize is £200 with the second prize £100 and many other prizes on offer, plus separate pool and raffle.

The second is on Saturday, December 8, signing on at the Hobby Horse from 3pm with fishing from 5-9pm. Christmas hampers plus many other prizes are on offer with separate pool and raffle.

The third is on Saturday, January 19, with signing on at the Hobby Horse from 1pm and the competition from 3-7pm. First prize is £200 with the second prize £100 and many other prizes on offer, plus separate pool and raffle. All matches are measure and release.
