A man and a woman used trollies to take large quantities of alcohol from the Asda supermarket in Longforth Road, Wellington, over two nights, town councillors were told at their monthly meeting on Monday.

The offences occurred on June 24 and 25 and were caught on camera. The couple have since been arrested for committing the same offence at Asda in Bridgwater.

Councillors heard the pair were ‘wanted for recall to prison for similar offences’.
