MUSIC fans turned up in their thousands for Saturday’s SheppyFest 18 at Three Bridges, Bradford-on-Tone – and the line-up of bands did not disappoint.

Sheppy’s Cider director Louisa Sheppy was buoyant about the event, which attracted more than 3,500 people.

“What a weekend,” she said. “This year will go down as a vintage year for SheppyFest – the weather was wonderful, the cider was plentiful and the mood was sky high. The Sheppy’s Cider team are happy to say this was our best SheppyFest yet and we’d like to thank everyone who helped make it happen.

“We’d especially like to congratulate FILTA and Coldplace for their fantastic performances and professionalism. We’d also like to extend our deepest thanks to our festival manager, Sara-Beth Rowland, for all her hard work and dedication in putting together this year’s festival.

“We’d like to extend a special thanks to Main Event Security who kept festival-goers happy, safe and secure throughout the day. We’d also like to thank the bands, the staff, the vendors, the volunteers and, most importantly, everyone who bought tickets and came along to see us!”

Louisa added: “Over the years Sheppy’s Cider has been brilliantly supported by our local friends and customers, so we’re always happy to throw open our doors and welcome them all into our orchards for the day.

“We are lucky to be able to have such fantastic surroundings to host our music and cider festival here among 90 acres of apple orchards – you can’t get more Somerset than that.

“We’re about to go into our busiest time of the year where we start harvesting and pressing apples to make our award-winning cider, so this is a nice moment of celebration before the madness starts.

“There is no word yet on whether we’ll be back for SheppyFest ’19 – we’ll keep you posted! However, we’ll continue to have plenty of smaller events at the House of Cider throughout the year and we’d love to see all our SheppyFest supporters there. Keep an eye on www.sheppyscider.com to see what we’ll be up to next!”
