WELLINGTON supporters of Pancreatic Cancer UK raised £273 for the charity while browsing, Christmas shopping and chatting with friends over a hot chocolate.

The fundraising event, which included a raffle, was held at the start of Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month.

Local businesses supported the event to provide some Christmas shopping opportunities – Bluebell Gems, Flamingo Paperie and Bumble and Bee were there. It was also supported by The Body Shop at Home so people could try products enjoy some pampering.

Organiser Rachel Costello said: “We were so pleased to raise such a brilliant amount, especially during Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month.

“Thank you so much to everyone for their donations and support for such a worthy charity.

“We hope this money will make a difference to those affected by this awful illness and their families.”
