THE Globe Inn at Appley is the venue for a meeting to discuss the launch of a community short mat bowls club open to all ages which could be combined with a youth group.

The meeting is on Wednesday, September 28, at 7.30pm – a quorum of people is needed to get the initiative off the ground.

It is planned to arrange a visit to Holcombe Rogus Indoor Bowls Club, where visitors can see what is required, and which can lend items on a temporary basis.
