COMPLAINTS about the “disgraceful” state of North Street car park in Wellington were made at the September meeting of the town council when it was stated that some craters and potholes were six inches deep.

Wellington to lose its former WH Smith store just five months after takeoverThe issue was raised by former town mayor Dave Mitton who pointed out that last year the Conservative-led Taunton Deane Borough Council said it was going to spend £20,000 repairing the car park but nothing had happened.
The car park was now in a worse state, he said. What had happened? Had the money been spent in Taunton? “If not when can we expect our car park to be improved,” he added.
