COMMUNITY groups in Taunton Deane can now apply for small grants of up to £1,000.

The Taunton Deane Borough Council Voluntary and Community Sector Small Grants Fund, managed by Somerset Community Foundation on behalf of the council, is accepting applications until Wednesday, October 31.

Local charities, community groups and social enterprises based in Taunton Deane can apply for funding towards projects, capital purchases or ongoing running costs.

Last year, 19 local groups were awarded a grant from the fund, including Wellington Choral Society, West Buckland Friendship Club, WHERE and Wiveliscombe Area Partnership.
