Somerset West and Taunton's motorists will have five road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

But the news isn't too bad, with all of them only expected to cause slight delays, of less than 10 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

M5, from 8pm May 23 to 4am June 11, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound and southbound, junction 31 - 20 mobile lane closures for maintenance.

And a further four closures will begin over the next seven days:

M5, from 8am to 5.30pm on June 9, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 24 to 25 hard shoulder closure for survey.

A30, from 8pm June 13 to 6am June 25, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5, junction 20 to 31 mobile lane closures in both directions for grass cutting works.

M5, from 8pm June 13 to 6am June 15, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 24 to 25 lane closure for survey.

M5, from 8pm June 20 to 4am July 2, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound and southbound, junction 31 - 20 mobile lane closures for maintenance.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
