TWELVE teams from schools across Somerset and Devon competed over seven rounds in a Spelling Bee at Wellington Prep School.

It involved all kinds of spelling challenges including countdown conundrums, Scrabble challenges, anagrams and dynamic definitions. A packed hall of parents and friends watched during the morning.

Wiveliscombe Primary School emerged as the winners and are pictured holding the Spelling Bee Trophy.
