BUDDING athletes at Wellington Prep School enjoyed a wonderful day of competition at the school’s annual sports day.

Events were held which gave every pupil from nursery age to Year Six the opportunity to take part.

Parents were able to enjoy tea and cake while watching thanks to the Friends of Wellington Prep School.

Headmaster Adam Gibson said: “Sports Day is one of the highlights of our school year – for our children, our staff and our families.

“It is an opportunity to compete, to support and to celebrate so many different elements of what makes our school what it is.

“From the great work done by the Friends of Wellington Prep School to the many different events and, especially, the tug-of-war, it’s all about teams.”
