ST JOHN’S Church in Wellington is the venue for an event featuring musical and spoken word pieces, and an art exhibition put together by talented local Christian artists.

Visitors will be supporting local people who are giving up their evening to raise money for Tearfund and Christian Aid, which are working in East Africa with people whose lives have been devastated by drought and famine.

Everyone taking part in the event on Saturday starting at 7.30pm lives in or near Wellington. Tickets are £5 and can be purchased from Cards and Co in South Street, or on the door, and include a free drink.
