WELLINGTON Arts Association has become the first local 'good cause' to benefit from Waitrose's Community Matters scheme, which will see the company donate £12,000 a year to 36 good causes in the area.

The store, in Red Lion Court, High Street, is due to open its doors for business at 8.30am on Thursday, January 26 and has created more than 140 jobs for the area.
