HIGH achievers from the WWN’s circulation area who attend Richard Huish College in Taunton have their sights set on going to the elite Oxford and Cambridge universities.

Lottie Radford, a former Court Fields School student from Wellington, has been offered a place at Queens College, Oxford, to read History and English.

Two former Kingsmead School, Wiveliscombe, students have gained offers – Justin Vyvyan-Jones, who has a place to read Classics and German at St Hugh’s College, Oxford, and Jeremy Pearson has a place to read Philosophy at Jesus College, Cambridge.

Valeria Samsonova, from Wellington School, has an offer to read Natural Sciences at Newnham College, Cambridge.

Other Richard Huish students to receive offers from Oxford and Cambridge were: Matt Kingdom, a former Bishop Fox’s School student; Charlotte Smith and Sophia Cerullo, both from The Castle School, Taunton; Ellie Fox, a former Queens College, Taunton, student; Sophie Warner-Housego, an ex-Exeter School student; and Charlotte Newman from Heathfield School, Taunton.
