Tonedale-based charity Reminiscence Learning has raised thousands after holding a successful gala ball in celebration of the organisation's 20 year anniversary.
On Saturday, April 1, the dementia charity held a black tie fundraising ball and auction in the County Cricket Ground, where they raised a total of £6885.
The event was supported by Nuffield Health, Fast2Fibre and SCCC, with many South-West based businesses supplying goods and gift vouchers to support both the raffle and Auction.
The event featured a chocolate fountain, photo booth and music from Wired4Sound, a Bristol-based cover band.
The fundraiser saw the charity make major progress towards meeting their £20,000 target - to coincide with their 20th year.
A spokesperson for Reminiscence Learning said: “We’d like to thank our sponsors Fast2Fibre – Paul Hughes and Nuffield Health – Rachael Parker for sponsoring and for giving speeches on the evening.
“Also thanks to Somerset County Cricket Ground for the use of their room and the staff’s helpfulness on the evening to make it run smoothly.
“Wired4Sound were brilliant and kept the dance floor full during the night while Tom Mellor from GTH kept guests on their toes as the bids went back and forth for the wonderful prizes in the auction.”
