THE weather was hot and sunny for Bradford-on-Tone’s annual flower show at the village hall.
The number of entrants was slightly down on last year but the entries were of high quality.
And all the usual classes were well supported from vegetables, fruit and flowers to floral art, cookery, handicrafts and art/photography.
The potato in a bucket class brought strong competition, with the winner growing 5lbs 15ozs from the potato supplied.
Tea and cakes were enjoyed in the sun on the lawn outside the village hall.
