STAFF at Wellington-based beauty manufacturer Swallowfield have raised £1,100 for Children’s Hospice South West.
They organised a grand Christmas raffle with more than 140 prizes and a donation from the company helped to make up the total.
Shift manager Jo Luckhurst said: “The Children’s Hospice is a charity which is close to our hearts. Over the past few years instead of sending Christmas cards to each other, we bought one big card for people to write on and give a donation. This year we decided to make it bigger and better by holding a raffle, too.
“We should all be so proud to be working for a company where everyone supports each other as a team to make these things happen and do it so well.”

Throughout the year employees held cakes sales, quiz nights and donned moustaches for Movember and raised money for charities such as Dementia UK, Bowel Cancer UK and St Margaret’s Hospice in the process.
Chief executive Chris How said: “We are always pleased to support our staff with fundraising ideas and are delighted to have raised so much this year.”
