BEES which took up residence in Roger and Valerie Congram’s back garden in Rockwell Green have been found a new home.

Joss Langford told the WWN: “I collected the swarm from Roger and Valerie after Taunton Deane Borough Council gave them my contact details.

“It was a very large swarm that I safely moved to an orchard in the Blackdown Hills. We ‘walked them in’ using the traditional method by depositing the swarm on a sheet leading up to the hive entrance.

“We were able to watch all the bees, including the queen, walk in to their new home. The bees have been donated to a new beekeeper who is picking up where her father left off some years ago.”
