EDUCATION chiefs have dismissed fears of an expected outbreak of swine flu as youngsters return to school today.
Officials have reassured parents and school pupils in the Wellington area that swine flu will not affect the start of the new school term.
As many pupils across our area return to school today, Wednesday, a spokesman for Somerset County Council said concerns had been expressed by a number of parents that schools should delay re-opening after the summer holidays in order to avoid the swine flu virus.
But the council has said delaying the start of the new term would cause unnecessary disruption, and confirmed it would be 'business as usual' for local schools.
