WELLINGTON School has been shocked and saddened by the death of one of its teachers in a parachuting accident at Dunkeswell Airfield on Friday.

Chris Jones, 61, was head of chemistry and had been a member of the school staff for 13 years.

He was also a qualified sky diving instructor with experience of more than 1,000 descents, and was a qualified sailing instructor and light aircraft pilot.
