STAFF from the Wellington office of Porter Dodson Solicitors & Advisors completed the Commando Challenge on Saturday in aid of Devon Air Ambulance and the Royal Marines Charitable Trust Fund.

The event took place over the Royal Marines Commando Training Course at Woodbury Common, near Exeter, where the Marines train their new recruits.

Kate James, Partner in the Wellington office, led the 11-strong team who attacked the course with grit and determination, through obstacles such as ‘Peter’s Pool’, ‘The Sheep Dip’ and the ‘Crocodile Pit’.

Members of the Wellington office Clare Sanderson, Robyn Greenway, Ryan Conroy – son of Joanne Conroy – and members from other offices returned to base muddy, wet and cold but in high spirits after raising £1,000 for their efforts.

Robyn said: “It was certainly a challenge but a very worthwhile cause and something we hope to repeat again next year.”
