THE Mayor of Taunton Deane and Wellington councillor Vivienne Stock-Williams joined in the fun at a Teddy Bear’s picnic in the town, hosted by Taunton Deane Borough Council.

More than 150 children and their families tucked into a feast with home-made cakes and fresh fruit, and enjoyed the entertainment and craft stalls laid on.

Special thanks go to Macs wholesale market in Bristol for supplying the fruit and to Churches Together which provided refreshments. Council staff were joined by colleagues from Tone Leisure, the Wellington getset team and representatives from Knightstone Housing.

It was the first in a series of summer events planned in Wellington and it got a hearty thumbs-up from everyone involved
